"Dog Licenses in the County", to follow immediately after Sec.
194(f) (G) thereof, relating generally to the creation of a dog
pound in Charles County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 194(g)- (H) be and the same is hereby added to
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Dog Licenses in the County", to follow imme-
diately after Section 194(f) (G) thereof, and to read as follows:
194.
(g). (H). The County Commissioners of Charles County are au-
thorized to establish a dog pound and to hire the personnel and pro-
vide the equipment necessary for the collection, impoundment, care,
handling, and disposal of stray, unlicensed, diseased or vicious dogs.
Provided, however, that the initial cost for the building and equip-
ment shall not exceed $35,000. The salary and number of persons to
be employed shall be determined by the County Commissioners.
IN THE DISCRETION OF THE COMMISSIONERS, AN
AGREEMENT MAY BE ENTERED INTO WITH ADJACENT
COUNTIES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DOG POUND
TO SERVE ALL OF SUCH COUNTIES.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 84 H of
Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "County Commission-
ers", as said section was enacted by Chapter 186 of the Acts of
1951, relating to trash dumps and the disposal of trash in Charles
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 84 H of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", as said section was enacted by Chapter 186 of the
Acts of 1951, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
84H. The County Commissioners [are hereby authorized to]
