be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(g) Each of the judges of the orphans' court for Talbot and Caro-
line counties shall receive twelve dollars ($12.00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said court, not to exceed $825 in any
one year. Nothing in this sub-section shall be construed to limit the
expenses of the judges of the Orphans' Court of Talbot County as
provided for in Section 3(e) of Article 25 of this Code, title "County
Commissioners".
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 120A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1953 Edition,
being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
as said section was enacted by Chapter 368 of the Acts of 1957,
title "Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners", relating to
the duties of the County Engineer of Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 120A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1953 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), as said section was enacted by Chapter 368 of the Acts
of 1957, title "Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
120A. There shall be appointed by the County Commissioners a
person to be called the County Engineer. He shall be a competent
person qualified in the field of general construction, engineering or
architecture and shall be either a licensed architect or engineer with
a college degree in either engineering or architecture from a recog-
nized college or university and have at least five years' experience in
any or all of the above fields. The Engineer shall serve at the pleasure
of the County Commissioners and shall receive such salary as shall
be determined by the Commissioners, not to be less than Eight Thou-
sand, Five Hundred Dollars ($8,500) annually. The County Engineer
shall have the duty of analyzing and advising the County Commis-
