Office of the Secretary of State of Maryland
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland:
I, Claude B. Hellmann, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, DO
hereby certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 4, 1958, an Act known as Chapter 843 of
the Acts of 1957, was submitted to the voters of Wicomico County
under the provisions of Chapter 843 of the Acts of 1957, said Act
being as follows:
"An Act to add new Section 321A to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title, 'Crimes and Punish-
ments', sub-title, 'Gaming', to follow immediately after Section
321 thereof, relating to and legalizing games of bingo and
raffles and carnivals by certain organizations in Wicomico
County."
and I do certify, that at said election 5,231 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 843 of the Acts of 1957 and 1,918 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 843 of the Acts of 1957,
the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the qualified
voters of Wicomico County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my

Annapolis, this 26th day of November, 1958.
