serial maturity coupon bonds in like par amount; empowering
the County to fix and determine, by resolution, the form, tenor,
interest rate (or method of arriving at the same), terms, includ-
ing redemption and registration provisions, conditions, maturi-
ties, and all other details incident or necessary to the issuance,
public sale and delivery of said bonds; prescribing the method
and manner of selling said bonds at public sale; empowering said
County, subject to certain limitations to sell said bonds at, above
or below the par value thereof; empowering said County to refund
any of said bonds purchased or redeemed in advance of maturity;
empowering and directing said County to contract to levy and
to levy, impose and collect annually ad valorem taxes which will
provide funds sufficient for the payment of said maturing prin-
cipal and interest, exempting said bonds and said refunding bonds
and the interest thereon from all State, County and Municipal
taxation in the State of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 701A, 701B, 701C, 701D, 701E, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition) as amended
by Chapter 685 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
1957 being Article 17 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Prince George's County," sub-title "George Washington Memorial
Parkway", be and they are hereby repealed and enacted in place;
AND, THERE ARE ENACTED IN LIEU thereof nine (9) new
sections being Sections 464D (1) to 464D (9) to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County of 1953, being Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "George Washington Memorial Parkway" and to
follow immediately after Section 464C of said Code and to read as
follows:

George Washington Memorial Parkway

464D (1) The County Commissioners for Prince George's Coun-
ty, (hereinafter referred to as the County) a body politic and cor-
porate of the State of Maryland, is hereby authorized and empowered
to act in conjunction with and cooperate with the National Capital
Planning Commission created by an Act of Congress, approved April
30, 1926, for the purpose of complying with the provisions of para-
graph (a) of Section 1 of an Act of Congress of the United States
known as Public Act 284, 71st Congress, entitled "An Act for the
acquisition, establishment and development of the George Wash-
ington Memorial Parkway along the Potomac from Mount Vernon
and Fort Washington to the Great Falls, and to provide for the ac-
quisition of lands in the District of Columbia and the States of
Maryland and Virginia requisite to the comprehensive park, park-
way and playground system of the National Capital" with respect
to the acquisition of lands or interests in lands which constitute
or will constitute that portion of the George Washington Memorial
Parkway extending in Prince George's County from Fort Washing-
ton to the southeasterly boundary line of the District of Columbia.

464D. (2) To carry out the provisions of 464D (1) above, and make
possible the acquisition of the land or intrest INTEREST in lands
necessary for the construction of that portion of the George Washing-
ton Memorial Parkway described in Section 464D (1), the County
