CHAPTER 105
(Senate Bill 105)

AN ACT to add a new Section 129A to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Prac-
titioners of Medicine", to follow immediately after Section 129
thereof, requiring persons holding licenses to practice medicine
and surgery to register at periodic intervals and relating generally
to the provisions for such registration.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 129A be and the same is hereby added to Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health",
sub-title "Practitioners of Medicine" to follow immediately after
Section 129 thereof, and to read as follows:

129A. Every person holding a license to practice medicine and
surgery in the State of Maryland is required to register as in this
section provided. The first registration is required before October 1,
1960, and succeeding registrations are required at three-year inter-
vals thereafter. Each registration shall include the person's name,
license number, school of medicine of which he is a graduate, year of
graduation, office address, telephone number, and whether or not he
is in active practice. The registration shall be made on a form to be
prescribed by the Board, and must be accompanied by a fee of five
dollars ($5. 00). The Board shall issue a certificate of registration to
each person who registers as herein required. Failure to register as
in this section provided is a misdemeanor, to be punished upon con-
viction by a fine not to exceed twenty-five dollars ($25. 00).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 106
(Senate Bill 106)

AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Section 126 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Health", sub-title "Practitioners of Medicine", increasing
the examination fee of applicants for licenses for the practice of
medicine in this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 126 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Practitioners of Medicine",
be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
