245D, inclusive, of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County," sub-title
"Juvenile Court," as said sections were enacted by Chapter 265
of the Acts of 1953, repealing the local laws providing for the
establishment of a juvenile court for Garrett County and setting
up generally its powers, functions and duties, adding Garrett
County to the State-wide laws concerning juvenile courts and re-
lating generally to the treatment and disposition of cases in Gar-
rett County concerning young persons and to the operation and
functions of the juvenile court for Garrett County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4A of Chapter 797 of the Acts of 1945 be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

4A. The provisions of this Act shall not apply to Allegany,
[Garrett,] Prince George's, Montgomery and Washington Counties.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That Sections 232 to 245D, in-
clusive, of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County," sub-title "Juvenile
Court," as said sections were enacted by Chapter 265 of the Acts of
1953, be and they are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the repeal of Sections
232 to 245D of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws, as
enacted by Chapter 265 of the Acts of 1953, and the amendment of
Section 4A of Chapter 797 of the Acts of 1945, shall not be con-
strued or applied to change in any respect the law or the procedure
applying to the Juvenile Court for Garrett County as it existed im-
mediately prior to June 1, 1957, with respect to cases which were
pending in that Court prior to June 1, 1957, or with respect to any
event, act or occurrence within the jurisdiction of the Juvenile
Court for Garrett County prior to June 1, 1957.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 71 of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 4. County Board of
Education", AS SAID SECTION WAS AMENDED BY CHAP-
TER 15 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
1957, relating to bids for contracts for school work in Talbot
County and to the approval thereof by the County Commissioners.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 71 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 4.
