LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1957

MARYLAND, Sct:

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and held
in the City of Annapolis on the Second Day of January,
1957, and Ending on April 1, 1957, Theodore R. McKeldin,
being Governor of the State, the following Laws were
enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1
(Senate Bill 9)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 128 and
129 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edi-
tion), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative Depart-
ments", sub-title "Department of Legislative Reference", sub-
heading "Fiscal Research Bureau", relating to the reports made
to and the records of the State Fiscal Research Bureau and correct-
ing and clarifying the provisions of Sections 128 and 129.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 128 and 129 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Admin-
istrative Departments", sub-title "Department of Legislative Ref-
erence", sub-heading "Fiscal Research Bureau", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

128. The State Fiscal Research Bureau shall cause to be printed
and shall have always available, copies of the form which it may
prescribe for the statements of financial condition required by Sec-
tion 126 of this Article, and shall cause the same to be distributed to
the respective Treasurers or other authorized financial officers of the
several counties, municipal or public corporations, special districts
and/or political sub-divisions of this State, at or before the end of
the fiscal year of each of the said counties, municipal or public
corporations, special districts and/or political sub-divisions. The
State Fiscal Research Bureau may alter from time to time said form
and may make such changes therein as may seem to it in its discretion
to effectuate the purposes of this sub-title. Said statements of Finan-
cial Condition shall be compiled as of the last day of each [end] and
every fiscal year of any said county, municipal or public corpora-
tion, special district and/or political sub-division, by said Treasurer
or, if there be no Treasurer, by the authorized financial officer there-
of, and upon completion of said Statement, said Treasurer or other
authorized financial officer shall make affidavit thereto, and said
Treasurer or other authorized financial officer shall within [sixty 60]
