1814.

James Farquhar by the aforesaid recited act to which this is
supplementary shall be and the same are hereby vested
in William S. Farquhar and John A. Farquhar of Fred-
erick county aforesaid, or the survivor of them for the
same purposes and conformably to the directions and pro-
visions at contained in the original act aforesaid.

CHAPTER 4.

Trustee may
be appointed—
how.

A supplement to the act entitled, an act for the relief of
Sarah Ellis and her children of the city of Baltimore.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore county shall and may appoint some suitable
person as trustee in the place of James Lowry Donald-
son, deceased, who was appointed by the act to which this
is a supplement; that the trustee so to be appointed shall
have all the powers to execute said trust as fully as said
Donaldson could have done; shall receive all monies aris-
ing from sales made or to be made, and execute good and
sufficient conveyances to the purchaser or purchasers ac-
cording to the nature of the estate in the property sold, if
the same shall have been paid far to the deceased trustee,
and it not, on receding the same or any balance remain-
ing due from such purchasers.

His powers—

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee here-
by directed to be appointed shall have right to demand and
receive from the administratrix or other representatives of
said Donaldson, the amount of the sales by him made,

deducting such commissions and expences as the Orphans'
Court aforesaid may allow; and if withheld, to sue for

the same in ins own name, by action for money had and
received: who shall give bond to the state in the penalty
of five thousand dollars, with security to be approved by
the court aforesaid, before he proceed to act under this
law and shall be subject to the like directions, and his
bond to similar proceedings, as are provided by the act to
which this is supplementary in relation to the first trustee.

CHAPTER 5.

An act to lay out a road in Dorchester county.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Thomas Barnett, Roger Wool-
ford, Bartholomew Byus, Capt. John Spedden and Wil-
liam J. Ford, or a majority of them, be and they are
hereby appointed commissioners, to survey, lay out and
open, at the expence of such persons as may think proper
to contribute thereto, a road, not exceeding twenty feet in
width, begining the said road at or near the new meeting-
house on the road from Cambridge to Hill's Point, and
thence running in the best and most convenient direction
to Cassoa's Point, or as far as may be necessary. And
