is hereby authorised and required, to pay to James
S. Franklin, upon the warrant of the Comptrol-
ler, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, as
compensation to him as counsel for the State in
the case of the State vs. Thomas R. Tongue, in
the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT to refund to Amos Osborn, collector of
the Second Election District in Harford county,
George D. Claytor, collector of the Second
Election District in Anne Arundel county, Skip-
iorth C. Gorrell, collector of the Second Election
District of Harford county, certain moneys
overpaid by them into the Treasury of Mary-
land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, is hereby authorised
and required to pay to Amos Osborn, collector of
the Second Election District in Harford county,
twenty-five dollars and ten cents, George D. Clay-
tor, collector of the Second Election District in
Anne Arundel county, twenty-one dollars and
eighty-six cents, Skipiorth C. Gorrell, collector of
the Second Election District in Harford county,
twenty-two dollars and nineteen cents, overpaid
by them into the Treasury.
