(e). Any person, partnership, association, or corporation, who,
for another, in consideration [orjj of compensation, by fee, commis-
sion, salary, or otherwise, or with the intention or in the expecta-
tion or upon the promise of receiving or collecting a fee, does, offers
or attempts or agrees to do, engages in or offers or attempts or
agrees to engage in, either directly or indirectly, any single act or
transaction contained in the definitions of a real estate broker or
real estate salesman in Sub-sections (a) and (b) of this section,
whether said act be an incidental part of a transaction, or the entire
transaction, shall constitute such person, partnership, association, or
corporation a real estate broker or real estate salesman within the
meaning of this sub-title.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1956.

CHAPTER 35
(House Bill 30)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Governor-—Executive and Ad-
ministrative Departments", sub-title "Department of Information",
said new section to be known as Section 199A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 199 thereof, making unlawful certain acts
relating to tourist or travelers' guide or information services, and
prescribing penalties therefor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 41 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Governor—Ex-
ecutive and Administrative Departments", sub-title "Department of
Information", said new section to be known as Section 199A, to
follow immediately after Section 199 thereof, and to read as follows:

199A. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation,
other than as agent or employee of the United States, the State of
Maryland, any other State of the United States, or any political sub-
division thereof, to use the word "Official", or the equivalent, in
connection with any tourist or travelers' guide or information service?
or any advertising or publicity in connection therewith.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation ta
conduct or operate any tourist or travelers' information service, un-
less every affixed display, advertisement or sign visible from a public
highway, announcing such service by the use of the word "informal
