AN ACT TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH
AMENDMENTS, SECTIONS 53 (8), 53 (9) AND 56 (1) OF
ARTICLE 88B OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND
(1957 EDITION), TITLE "STATE POLICE", SUB-TITLE
"STATE POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM", REVISING THE
PROVISIONS REGARDING SPECIAL DEATH BENEFITS IN
THE STATE POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM, MAKING
CHANGES IN THE LAWS CONCERNING THE METHOD OF
FINANCING THIS RETIREMENT SYSTEM, CORRECTING AN
ERROR IN SECTION 53 (8) THEREOF AND RELATING GEN-
ERALLY TO THE LAWS CONCERNING THE STATE POLICE
RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

THAT SECTIONS 53 (8), 53 (9) AND 56 (1) OF ARTICLE 88B
OF THE ANNOTATED Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"State Police'', sub-title "State Police Retirement System", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
