LAWS OF MARYLAND.

MARYLAND, Sc.

At a session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held at the City of Annapolis, on the first Wednesday of Jan-
uary, bring the fourth day of said month, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, and ended
the tenth day of March of said year.

HIS EXCELLENCY,

T. WATKINS LIGON, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

THE FOLLOWING LAWS WERE ENACTED, TO WIT :

CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT authorising the Orphans Court of Charles
county, to appoint commissioners to divide primary
school district number six, of the first election district
of Charles county, and create a new school district
therein.

Feb. 10, 1854.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Orphans Court of Charles
county, is hereby authorised to appoint three discreet
and sensible men, residents of primary school district
number six, of the first election district of said county,
whose duty it shall be to lay off and divide said school
district, so as to create a new school district therein, if
