Resolution in relation to paying the members and
officers of the Legislature such sums of money as
may be due them, from time to time, respectively.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, be and he is hereby autho-
rised to pay to the members of this General Assembly,
and the several officers thereof, or to their respective
orders, any sum or sums of money now due, or which
from time to time may become due to them, respec-
tively, and for which they shall obtain certificates
from the chairman of the committee on claims, of the
present House of Delegates.

Resolution requesting the Governor to issue a commis-
sion to the Honorable Thomas G. Pratt, as Senator
of the United States.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be and he is hereby requested to issue a
commission, in the usual form, to the Honorable
Thomas G. Pratt, as Senator to represent this State in
the Congress of the United States, until the fourth of
March, eighteen hundred and fifty-one.
