new district, designated and bounded as aforesaid, shall

An act to allow John Simpers, late Collector of Cecil
County, further time to complete his collections.
|
|
|
Time extended.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Simpers, late collector of
taxes in the fifth election district of Cecil county, be
and he is hereby authorised and empowered to collect
any and all taxes now remaining due and uncollected
by him in the county aforesaid, in the same manner
and with the same privileges and powers he could or
might have done within the time limited by law.

Make oath.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said John Sim-
pers shall, in every instance, before he proceeds to
collect any taxes, or balances of taxes, under and by
virtue of this act, make affidavit before some justice
of the peace in said county, that the same remains
unpaid, and that he has not received any parlor parcel
of the same, or security or satisfaction therefor, other
than what may be credited thereon.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not
continue in force longer than two years, and shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
