1847.

CHAPTER 63.

An act to change the location of M alley in the city of
Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall and may be lawful for the
owners of the lots on the north side of M alley in
the city of Baltimore, to include within the lines of
their respective lots, extending southwardly, all that
part of the bed of said alley which is not required for
the bed of said M alley, as located and defined in
the second section of this act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That instead of M alley
as now located, an alley of the same name, four feet
wide, extending from L alley eastwardly, to the eastern
boundary of the estate of the late Colonel John E. How-
ard, the south side of said alley being distant one
hundred feet from the north side of Hamilton street,
and running parallel therewith, be and the same is here-
by condemned and made public, and subjected to all
the laws and ordinances of this State and the city of
Baltimore, relative to streets, lanes and alleys within

Alley bounded.

the said city; provided, that the said lot owners or
some of them, shall file, or cause to be filed in the
office of the register of the city of Baltimore, a plat of
the said alley, accurately describing it by metes and
bounds, by the name of M alley, and shall also file
therewith the assent in writing, of all the owners of
property binding on both sides of said alley, to the
alteration in said alley hereby provided for.

Proviso.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall be
inoperative until it shall have received the assent of the

An act to divorce Sarah Ann Gaines, from her husband
John B. Games, of Ike City of Baltimore.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sarah Ann Gaines, be henceforth divorced from
her husband John B. Gaines of the city of Baltimore,
and the marriage heretofore had and solemnized be-
tween them, is declared to be henceforth and forever

Passed
Feb. 11, 1848.
