lows: for piloting any vessel drawing thirteen feet of
water or over from any port in this State to sea or to the
Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, or coming from sea or
from the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and bound to
any river of this State and to any port thereof, or bound
from sea to the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal or from
the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal to sea, or from the
Chesapeake and Delaware Canal to the boundary waters of
the State of Virginia, or from the boundary water of the
State of Virginia to any port within the State of Mary-
land, or from any port within the State of Maryland to the
boundary water of the State of Virginia, or from the
Chesapeake and Delaware Canal to sea or to any port
within the State [Six Dollars and Fifty Cents] Seven
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($7.50) for each foot of water
she may draw; for every vessel drawing ten feet of water
and less than thirteen feet [Five Dollars] Six Dollars
($6.00) for each foot she may draw; for all vessels draw-
ing less than ten feet of water [Four Dollars and Fifty
Cents] Five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($5.50) for each foot
of water they may draw. The Board of Pilot Examiners
shall establish rates for special pilotage service, not con-
trary to the provisions of this [Act] Article. The rates
for any special pilotage service, however, shall not ex-
ceed the rate established for pilotage under this [Act]
Article. Vessels bound from the Chesapeake and Delaware
Canal and the Chesapeake Bay to sea, or to the boundaries
within the State of Virginia, or from sea to the Chesa-
peake and Delaware Canal or from the boundary waters
of the State of Virginia to the Chesapeake and Delaware
Canal, shall pay double pilotage for this pilotage service.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
