(House Bill 278)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
37B (c) of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Sheriffs", sub-title "Compensa-
tion and Duties", increasing the compensation of the Sheriff
of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section 37B (c) of Article 87 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Sheriffs", sub-title
"Compensation and Duties", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
37B.
(c) The Sheriff of Baltimore County shall receive an annual
salary of [f 4, 200] $5, 000. He shall appoint such Deputies and
at such compensation as may be approved by the County Com-
missioners of said County and shall receive such sum for
necessary expenses as shall be authorized by the County Com-
missioners of said County. The payment of such compensa-
tion and expenses shall be made from the general funds of
Baltimore County, in the same manner as other general county
disbursements are made.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", and to add one new sub-section to Section 605B
