SCHOOLS, BETWEEN THE STATE AND THE
SEVERAL POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS and others; and
be it further
Resolved, That said commission shall have the use in its
work of such funds as may be provided therefor in the
Budget or as may be allocated thereto by the Governor
from contingent funds at his disposal; and be it further
Resolved, that all departments and agencies of the State
government be directed to extend such cooperation and
assistance to the said commission as may be in their power ;
and be it further
Resolved, That said commission be requested at the con-
clusion of its studies to make its report and recommenda-
tions to the Governor, the General Assembly and the Legis-
lative Council.

(Senate Joint Resolution 2)
A Senate Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to ap-
point a commission to revise and modernize Article 27
of the Annotated Code of Maryland which contains
many of the State laws defining crimes and providing
for their punishment.
Whereas, Article 27 of the Annotated Code is a long
Article containing many obsolete and ambiguous provi-
sions; and
Whereas, it has not been revised since the Code of 1888
was adopted by the General Assembly of Maryland; and
Whereas, during the more than sixty years which have
elapsed since that time, the General Assembly has added
many new criminal laws while many of the existing laws
have become obsolete or out-moded; and
