APPRENTICES— See Free Negro and Mulatto Children.

ATTACHMENTS— Courts of this State, or any judge in
vacation of said courts, out of which attach-

ments shall issue, &c. to order a sale of

personal property which may be levied on,

&c. upon such terms, &c. as order may

prescribe, as well before as after return of

the attachments; proceeds of such sale, af-

ter paying expenses, &c. to be paid into

court, and deposited to the credit of the

suit in which order shall have been passed,

No attachment to be dissolved where the

plaintiff or any one of plaintiffs, or defend-

ant or any one of defendants, were at the

time the contract was made, a citizen of

this State, or debt accrued, &c. upon which

suit attachment may issue, unless defend-

ant, &c. give bond, &c. to be approved by

the court from which the attachment issued,

or one of the judges during recess; on the

condition to pay plaintiff the value of such

goods, &c. as may have been levied on, &c.

if plaintiff in such attachment receive an

amount equal to the sale of such goods, #c.

and to pay amount so received, if less than

the value of the goods, &c. so attached,

"

Upon giving bond, &c. attachment to be

dissolved, upon defendants authorising ap-

pearance, &c. and common bail; upon fail-

ure of defendant to appear condemnation to

be entered, &c.
