At an Extra Session of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, convened by Proclamation of the Governor, at the
City of Annapolis, on Wednesday, the twenty-fourth
day of March, in the year of our Lord, one thousand
eight hundred and forty-one, and ended on the seventh
day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand
eight hundred and forty-one:

THE FOLLOWING LAWS WERE ENACTED, TO WIT:

CHAPTER 1.

An act to authorise Mahlon Talbott, former Sheriff of
Frederick County, to execute a Deed to Jane Burgee.

WHEREAS, it appears, that about the year eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-five, Mahlon Talbott, then sheriff of Fre-
derick county, sold, by virtue of several writs of fieri fa-
cias, the real estate of a certain Zadock Fowler, and that
a certain Singleton Burgee, purchased and paid for the
name, but omitted to obtain, during bis lifetime, a deed for
said property; and that the said Singleton Burgee, left his
