CHAPTER 44.

(House Bill 128)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
686 and 687 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County",
sub-title "Museum of Arts", authorizing and directing the
County Commissioners of Washington County to contract
with the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and to
levy a sufficient sum to meet the obligations of said contract.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 686 and 687 of Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wash-
ington County", sub-title "Museum of Arts", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

686. The County Commissioners of Washington County are
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, whereby they
shall contract to contribute annually in perpetuity the sum of
five thousand dollars per annum for the care and maintenance
of the said The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

687. The said County Commissioners of Washington County
are hereby authorized and directed to levy and collect an-
nually, on the assessable property of said County, the sum re-
quired under the provisions of the foregoing section.

SEC. 2. And be it -further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
9 of the Charter of The Mutual Fire Insurance Company
in Harford County as. said section was amended by
Chapter 333 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, of 1904, providing for the election of the
President of said Company.
