had completed less than one year of the term of his office
at the time of his death; and

WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the General Assembly that
the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the death of
Gordon G. Barnes and the shortness of the period remain-
ing to be served which would have entitled Mary C. Barnes
to receive compensation for the death of her husband have
created a situation well meriting special provision; now
therefore

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the State Game Warden be directed to pay to Mary
C. Barnes out of the State Game Protection Fund the sum
of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. )
