Section 393, to provide for the appointment of a County
Engineer by the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County, to prescribe his duties and to fix his salary.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-title and a new section be added to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Mary-
land (Flack's Edition, 1943), to be known as "County Engi-
neer", and Section 394, respectively, and to follow immediately
after Section 393, to read as follows:
COUNTY ENGINEER.
394. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's
County are authorized and empowered to appoint in the month
of June, 1945, and every two years thereafter, some person
who is duly qualified as a "Registered Professional Engineer",
under the provisions of Article 75 1/2 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, as County Engineer of said County,
who shall perform such engineering duties and do and conduct
such engineering work, including but not limited to the estab-
lishment of minimum road, street, alley, curb and sidewalk
standards, in regard to the property and affairs of the County
as the Board of County Commissioners may direct and require.
The County Engineer so appointed shall receive a salary to
be fixed by the Board of County Commissioners, not to ex-
ceed the sum of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars
($4, 800. 00) per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly install-
ments.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Elections", and all amendments
thereof, and to enact a new Article, to be known as Article
33, title "Elections".
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
