No person, association, firm or corporation so authorized to
hawk, sell, peddle, vend or offer for sale any of the articles
hereinbefore described shall maintain what is known as a
sidewalk stand or place for selling, but shall keep continu-
ously moving, and not hawk, sell, peddle, vend, or offer for
sale such article in any one place.

Any person, association, firm or corporation violating or
failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall, upon
conviction, for each and every offense, be subject to a fine not
exceeding one hundred dollars ($100. 00) nor less than ten
dollars ($10. 00), and upon failure or refusal to pay the same
shall be committed to the jail of Somerset County for a period
not exceeding thirty (30) days.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 303.
(House Bill 497)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Carroll County to levy a sum of money for a five-year
period for the Historical Society of Carroll County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by1 the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Carroll County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to levy the sum
of two hundred dollars ($200. 00) each year for a period of
five years, beginning with the year 1941, the said two hundred
dollars ($200. 00) to be paid to the Historical Society of
Carroll County, Maryland, Inc.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

Approved April 23, 1941.

CHAPTER 304.
(House Bill 462)

AN ACT to repeal the Charter of the Town of Bel Air, Harford
County, Maryland, as the said Charter is now codified under
the provisions of Sections 95 to 155, inclusive, of Article 13
