nation or otherwise, and except in cases of nominations which
are made at the primary election, such certificates of nomina-
tion shall be filed respectively with the Secretary of State in
cases of nominations for State-wide offices, and in cases of
nominations for offices where the certificate is required to be
filed with the Supervisors of Elections, with the Board of
Supervisors of Elections not later that fifteen days before the
day on which the primary election is held or should be held
under the primary election law. Within thirty days after
the filing of any such petition, the Secretary of State, in cases
of nomination petitions filed with him, shall cause to be pub-
lished at least once in a daily newspaper of general circulation
throughout the State the names of all signers of any such
petition together with an explanation of the nature of the peti-
tion to which said persons' names are affixed. Where said
nomination petitions are filed with the Board of Supervisors
of Elections, said Board within thirty days after the filing of
such petition shall cause to be published at least once in a
newspaper of general circulation throughout the County, the
names of all of the signers of any such petition together with
an explanation of the nature of the petition to which such
persons' names are affixed. In addition to the filing fees re-
quired by Sections 235 and 236 of this Article, there shall ac-
company any nomination petition filed, as aforesaid, an addi-
tional fee equal to twenty-five cents ($. 25) for each name
required by this Section to be published and the Secretary
of State or Board of Supervisors of Elections, as the case
may be is hereby authorized to use such part of said addi-
tional fees as may be necessary to defray the cost of the publi-
cation herein required. In case of any vacancy which may exist
in respect to any office or Delegates to Convention, by reason of
their being no candidate to file for the same in any such
primary election such vacancy shall be filled and the certificate
of nomination filed with the Secretary of State or the Board
of Supervisors of Elections as the case may be, not later than
fifteen days before the day on which the primary is held or
should be held under the primary election law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.
