CHAPTER 204.

AN ACT to repeal Section 40A of Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County, " sub-title "Boards of License
Commissioners, " as said Section was enacted by Chap-
ter 31 of the Acts of the Special Session of 1933, and
to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 45 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-title
"Boards of License Commissioners, " eliminating certain
provisions no longer in force and relating to the appoint-
ment and terms of Boards of License Commissioners for
Washington County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 40A of Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County, " sub-title "Board of License Com-
missioners, " as said Section was enacted by Chapter 31
of the Acts of the Special Session of 1933, be and it is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 45 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-title "Boards of
License Commissioners, " be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
BOARDS OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS
45. Boards of License Commissioners—Appointments
and Qualifications. The Governor, biennially, by and with
the advice and consent of the Senate, if in session, and
if not in session, then the Governor alone, shall appoint
in Baltimore City, and in each of the counties of Prince
George's, Calvert Wicomico and Worcester Counties three
persons who shall constitute and be styled "The Board of
License Commissioners for Baltimore City or.................
County, " as the case may be. In making said appointments,
the Governor shall designate one of the appointees in Balti-
more City and each of said Counties to be the Chairman of
the respective Boards. Said Commissioners shall be resi-
dents and voters of Baltimore City or the respective Coun-
ties, as the case may be, and they shall be men or women of
high character and integrity and of recognized business
capacity. In case of any vacancies in the number of said
