places, and also any and all land and property or interest
in land and property adjoining and extending such distance
as may be adjudged necessary from any property in use or
about to be acquired for any such market, park, square,
playground, public reservation, garden or other public
place as aforesaid, the use of which said adjacent prop-
erty it may be deemed necessary or beneficial to subject
to lawful restrictions or control in order better to pro-
tect or enhance the usefulness of or more fully to effectuate
the purposes of the establishment of any such market, park,
square, playground, public reservation, garden or other
public place as aforesaid; and thereafter to sell such adja-
cent lands or property, subject to such reservations or re-
strictions as may appear advisable for the protection of or
for enhancing the usefulness of or in any manner to pro-
mote the interests of the public in such public place as
aforesaid or in any manner better to accomplish the pur-
poses and serve the public interests for which such public
place shall have been or shall be established. In the event
condemnation is resorted to in order to acquire any such
property, the proceedings in any such condemnation shall
be as prescribed in Article 33A of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 32.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Charles County to issue bonds for the purpose of re-
funding the bonded indebtedness of said County author-
ized by Chapter 546 of the Acts of 1894 and to levy and
collect the necessary costs for the payment of said bonds,
and interest thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles
