count of the great increase in the volume of tax collections in
said Collection District No. 1 for the year's 1924, 1925 and
1926, due to the large increase in numbers of tax accounts to
be collected, both for State and County, was placed to extraor-
dinary and unusual costs for stationery, stamps, clerical hire,
etc., to the amount of fifteen hundred ($1, 500. 00) dollars per
year, for the years 1924, 1925 and 1926, or altogether the sum
of forty-five hundred ($4, 500. 00) dollars; and
WHEREAS, On account of the extraordinary expenditure
made by said tax collectors, the net amount of compensation
for their work as tax collectors aforesaid was not adequate to
properly reimburse them for their services; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Allegany
County be, and they are hereby authorized at the annual
levy for 1930 in Allegany County to levy a tax upon the assess-
able property in Allegany County sufficient to pay the sum of
sixty-seven hundred and fifty ($6, 750. 00) dollars, and to pay
the same as follows:
To Eugene C. Landis, the sum of twenty-two hundred and
fifty ($2, 250. 00) dollars for expenses, and to Alban C. Thomp-
son, the sum of forty-five hundred ($4, 500. 00) dollars for ex-
traordinary expenses incurred by them as Tax Collectors dur-
ing their respective terms of office.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 339.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 390 and 391 of the Public Local
Laws, known as Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, Edition of 1928, sub-title "Jurors, "
and re-enact the same and add additional sections thereto,
to be known as Sections 391A, 391B, 391C, 391D, 391E,
391F, 391G and 391H, providing for, a complete list in
the form of poll books of the male registered voters of
Baltimore County being furnished, for the selection of
