JOINT RESOLUTIONS

NO. 1.

Resolved, That it is the sense of the General Assembly of
Maryland that a complete and competent investigation of the
affairs of the Maryland State Roads Commission be had; and
that the Joint Standing Committee of the Senate and the House
of the General Assembly of Maryland be and it is hereby
authorized and directed to investigate the affairs of the Mary-
land State Roads Commission forthwith and report as prompt-
ly as possible to the General Assembly of Maryland its findings
in connection therewith; and be it further

Resolved, That said Joint Standing Committee of the Senate
and the House appointed under Section 24 of Article 3 of the
Constitution be and it is hereby authorized to designate such
counsel and employ stenographers and clerical assistants and
take such action in the premises as may be necessary in con-
nection with this investigation, and that all orders, resolutions
and other papers introduced pertaining to such investigation
be referred to said Joint Standing Committee.

NO. 2.

A Resolution to extend the term of service of the Honorable
John R. Pattison, Chief Judge of the First Judicial Circuit
of the State of Maryland.

WHEREAS, the Honorable John R. Pattison, of Dorchester
County, State of Maryland, was duly appointed Chief Judge
of the First Judicial Circuit of the State of Maryland on Octo-
ber 1, 1909, and was duly elected by the people of said circuit
to that office for the full term of fifteen years from the time
of his election and qualification, and until his successor was
duly elected and qualified; and
