CHAPTER 375.
AN ACT to revive the Charter of the Guilford & Waltersville
Granite Company, and to enable it to continue business as
a corporation under the laws of the State of Maryland upon
payment by it of all taxes due by it to the State of Mary-
land, and of all penalties heretofore imposed upon it for
its default in that respect.
WHEREAS, the Guilford & Waltersville Granite Company, a
corporation organized and doing business under the laws of the
State of Maryland, did, through inadvertance, neglect to make
payment of the franchise tax due by it to the State of Mary-
land, and certain penalties imposed upon it for said neglect;
and
WHEREAS, The Governor of Maryland did, under and by
authority of Chapter 366 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, 1920, by proclamation bearing date the 17th day
of September, 1921, declare the charter of said corporation null
and void; and
WHEREAS, the notice required to be sent by the Comptroller
at the time he certified said corporation to the Governor as
having neglected to pay said tax and penalty, was never re-
ceived by said corporation; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the said proclamation of the Governor of Maryland,
in so far as it affected the Guilford & Waltersville Granite
Company, be and it is hereby set aside, and that the said Guil-
ford & Waltersville Granite Company be, and it is hereby em-
powered to revive its charter of incorporation and all powers
incident thereto upon the payment by it to the Comptroller of
all taxes due by it, with the interest thereon, and all penalties
imposed upon it for its neglect in that particular.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 376.
AN ACT to provide for the levying of a per capita charge upon
respective Counties and the City of Baltimore for students
committed to the Maryland School for the Blind.
