    Att A Court held for Kent County in the province of Maryland on the Nineteenth day of
August and Continued the twentieth day of the Same Month in the fifteenth year of
the Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord and proprietarie of the Provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c.a Anno Dom. 1729

Gentleman Attorney of the Right Honorable the L.d
proprietary that now is for the County afd who for y.e
Same Lord proprietarie in his part prosecuteth doth come here into Kent County
Court before William Frisby Esq.r and his Associates the Ld ships Justices of the Same County Court to
wit at new Town in K.t County afd y.e Eighteenth day of March Anno Dom Seventeen hundred twenty
and eight and for the same Lord proprietarie doth give this Court here to understand and be informed
that Richard Foulston late of Saint pauls parish in the County afd Cooper hearing that a Certain Christine
Tippet of the parish and County afd the wife of a Certain Thomas Tippet of the same parish & County
planter one paid of Double hemd laced ruffles of the value of forty pounds of Tobacco and  one Muslin flowered Apron of the Value of Seventy pounds of Tobacco of the Goods and Chattels of the
afd Richard Foulston in the same Parish and County being feloniously do steal take and bear away
afterwards on the tenth day of October Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred twenty and eight
at the parish afd in the County afd did receive and take of and from the afd Thomas Tippet One Thousand
pounds of Tobacco amends for his damages Sustained by occation of the Felony afd in form afd
perpetrated and a reward the afd Christine according to the due Course of the Laws in that part
provided for the Commission of the same felony not to prosecute but her the afd Christine upon
her tryal of the Said felony to favour and maintain to the Evil example of all others in Such Case
offending and against the peace of the Said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Governm.t
&c.a wherefore the afd Att.ry prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premises for the Said Lord
prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd Rich.d in this part to Issue to answer to the Said
Lord Prop.ry of and upon the premises &c.a

    And the afd Rich.d Foulston in his proper person comes and defends the force and Injury when
&c.a And Sayth that he is not Guilty of the Matter alledged against him in the Information afd
in manner and form therein Set forth And of this he puts himself upon the Country

    And the afd Tench who for the Same Lord prop.ry in this part followeth in like manner &
Saith he is guilty

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he Immediately cause to
come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a To Recognize &c.a Because as well &c.a of which
Said precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young Gent now here at this day to wit the Seventeenth
day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Nine makes Return that
he hath here Ready twelve &c.a As by his Pcept he was Commanded And now here afterward
to wit the day & year last mentioned cause againe the afd Lord prop.ry by his Attry afd and
the afd Rich.d Foulston in his proper person as afd And the Jurors of that Jury being
