to the Court    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at
the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in Aug.st
being the Seventeenth day of Said Month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and
thirty one  That the afd Elizabeth Maxwell pay the Sum of Thirty Shillings
Current money for the use of the County &c.a the Same being as a fine for Comitting
the fornication afd as afd Confest and also pay the Sum of two hundred
and four pounds of Tobacco cost accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of
this Court

    Ordered by this Court That Joseph Young Sherf of Kent County keep the
afd Elizabeth Maxwell in Custody untill the fine and fees afd is paid

attry of the Right honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is
for the County afd who for the Same Lord prop.ry in this part
prosecuteth doth come here into Kent County Court before W.m Frisby Esq.r and his
associates his Lordships Justices of the Same County Court to wit at Chester Town
in the afd County the Seventeenth day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
thirty one and for the Same Lord prop.ry doth give the Court here to understand &
be informed that Edward Beck Jun.r late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd
planter the tenth day of October Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred & thirty at
the Parish afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did Commit fornication with
Elizabeth Maxwell and then and there did beget a bastard Child on her body
against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case made  Wherefore
the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court herein the premisses for the
Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd Edward in this part to
Issue to Answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a

    And the afd Edward Beck in his proper person comes and Saith that he
cannot gainsay the Information afd So as afd against him brought nor but
that he is guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd
Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court  Therefore it is
Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in
Said County on the third tuesday in August being the Seventeenth day of
Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one  That the afd
