as provided herein must be filed with the Comptroller within
ninety (90) days from the date of the purchase or invoice.
SEC. 11. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller shall keep an accurate ac-
count of all taxes received by him under and in pursuance of
the terms of this Act, and as soon as the taxes thus received, less
refunds as herein provided, shall in the aggregate equal the sum
of one million one hundred seventy-nine thousand five hun-
dred fifty-five dollars and seven cents ($1,179,555.07), being
the amount of the deficiency now existing in the maintenance
and re-construction account of the State Roads Commission, the
said Comptroller shall forthwith notify the Governor that he
has received taxes under the provisions of this Act aggregat-
ing the sum of one million one hundred seventy-nine thousand
five hundred fifty-five dollars and seven cents ($1,179,555.07),
and the Governor shall,, upon the receipt of said notice from
the Comptroller, issue a proclamation announcing that the de-
ficiency intended to be cured by the imposition of the tax
herein authorized has been fully made up, and from and after
the date of said proclamation the said tax herein authorized
shall no longer be imposed; provided, however, that no tax shall
be imposed under the terms hereof on or after January first,
nineteen hundred twenty-four (January 1, 1924).
SEC. 12. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That any dealer, person, association of persons,
firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Act, or
any person, firm or agent of any corporation who shall make any
false statement in connection with an application for the re-
fund n f any money or tax as provided in this Act, or who
shall collect or cause to be repaid to him or to any person any
tax without being entitled to the same under the provisions
of this Act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
* conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than
one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment in jail
not more than six (6)months, or by both such fine and im-
prisonment.
SEC. 13. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,, That it shall be unlawful for the Comptroller
or any agent or employee of said Comptroller to disclose, ex-
cept when required so to do in a court of law, the amount of
tax paid in pursuance of the terms of this Act by any dealer
or dealers, or any other information contained in the reports
