963 This Indenture made y.e 25.th day of June in y.e fifth yeare of their maj.ties Reigne King W.m & Queen Mary by y.e grace of god King & Queene of England Scotland France & Ireland &c.a on & betweene Anthony Workman & Joan his wife of Kent County in y.e province of Mary Land planters of y.e other part & John Oldson of y.e same place planter of y.e other part Wittnesseth that y.e s.d Anthony Workman & Joan his wife for & in Consideration of y.e sum of six thousand pounds of tobb & Casque to them in hand paid before y.e sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof y.e s.d Anthony Workman doth acknowledge himselfe therewith fully satisfied contented paid & thereof & of every part & parcell thereof doth fully clearly & absolutely Exonerate acquit & discharge y.e s.d John Oldson his heirs Exct.rs Admt.rs & assignes for ever by these presents hath given granted barganed & solde Alienated Enfeoffed & confirmed & by these p.rsents doth fully clearly & absolutely give grant bargan sell alienate enfeoffe & confirme unto y.e s.d John Oldson his heirs Exct.rs Admt.rs or assignes all that parcell or tract of Land called Coopers quarter Lyeing upon Kent Island at y.e head of a branch called Stowells Branch begining at a marked Red oake & runing for breadth north & by East fifty perches to a marked white oake & y.e marked white oake by a line drawn East & by south one hundred & sixty perches for Length & from y.e end of y.e East & by south Line by a line drawn south & by west fifty perches & from y.e end of y.e s.d line by a straight line drawn to y.e first bounded tree containing & now laid out for fifty acres more or Less to be held of y.e manor of Baltemore togather with all y.e & singular y.e rights & benefits thereunto belonging & also all patents Deeds writings Evidences & Manuscripts touching or anywayes concerning y.e premises or any part or parcell of them with all & singular y.e rights |
