Petition and allowance procureing A Certificate from the
Comm.ers of the County court where hee shee or they Live that
hee shee or they are objects of Charity and Deserve to have
such pention and allowance Provided that this act nor any
thing therein contained shall not repeale not be construed
to repeale the perpetuall Law of this Province Entitled an
act for the Encoragmt of such as shall adventure in the
countrys service Provided alsoe that this act nor anything
therin contained shall not be construed or meant to Discharge
the Right honble the Lord prop.ry his heirs and successors from
paying for armes & Amunition or other Publick charges of
this Province so farr fuorth as the Moiety of the two shillings
p hhd Extends according to an act of Assembly Entituled
an act of Gratitude to his Excellency Charles Calvert Esq.r
Cap.t Gen.ll of Maryland made at an Assembly held at the Citty
of S.t Maries the 13.th Day of Aprill anno 1674 and to the
End and Intent that this his Lspp Province and the Inhabitants
thereof may be better secured and Defended yo.r lspps most
humble servants the Members of the upper & Lower housses
of this psent Gen.ll Assembly Doe humbly pray that it maybe
Enacted and be it further Enacted by the Right honoble the Ld
Prop.ry by and with the advice and consent of the upper and
Lower housses of this present Gen.ll Assembly That the said Lord
Prop.ry his heirs and successors within Eighteen Months after
the Publication hereof Dureing the payment of the Two shillings
p hhd shall provide and maintaine out of the aforesaid Moiety
besides a suficient standing Magazeene for this province
a suficient quantity of Armes and amunition in Every
Respective County for such Number of Men as shall
at any time be though Necessary to be drawn out or
compelled to march out of such there Respective countys
in actuall service for the Lord Prop.ry and Defence of this
Province to be deposited and kept in such persons hands
Inhabitants of the same County as his Lspp or his Lftt
