Josias Lanham of Kent county (otherwise called
Josias Lanham of Kent county carpender was sumond
to ans.r Michaell Miller in a plea of trespasss on the
case on acc.tt

And thereupon the s.d Michaell Miller by John
Woodward his Attorny complaineth & Saith y.t the
s.d Josias Standenth Indebted unto the s.d Michaell
the sume of twenty five thousand & Six pounds
of tobacco it being due for his Lpps rent Leavy,
Security & Comiss.rs fees and other tobaccoe &
Disbursmts payd by the czar of the s.d Josias Lanham
an account hereof ready to be produced may & Doth
more plainly appeare w.ch s.d sume of twenty five
thousand & six pounds of tobaccoe although often
thereunto required hath not payd but the Same to pay
he still doth refuse whereupon he saith he is Damnified
and hath Damage to the vallue of Sixten hundred
pounds of tobaccoe besides his acc.tt & thereupon he
bringeth his Sute
