137 (69) Know all men by these p.rsents that I Thomas Theckston of Kent county on the province of Maryland planter for divers good causes & valuable concidered mee hereunto Especially Moveing Have and by these psents doe make & ordaine reconstitute and appoint my trusty & well beloved freind Mich.ll Miller of the county aforesd my true & Lawfull Attorny for mee and in my name & to my case to ask demand Leavy sue for recover & receive all sume & sumes of tobacco Debt book Debts accounts day and demands whatsoever or are any way due or oweing or of right belonging to mee the s.d Thomas Theckston of or from any person or persons whatsoever in the province aforesd and the same fee recovered & received acquitance or acquittances releases or other discharges in the Law to make seale & Deliver and in all things to act doe perform & Execute as fully & amply to all Intents & purposes as if I the s.d Thomas Theckston were psonally psent at the doeing [illegible] And I the s.d thomas Theckston for my self my lives Ex.rs & Adm.rs doe hereby ratifie & Confirm whatsoever my s.d Attorny or his substitute shall Legally doe or cause to be done in the pmisses Giving unto my s.d Attorny full power and Authority to depute on or more Attorny or Attornys under him for the better Execucon of the pmisses or occasion shall require Wittness my hand & seale they Nintenth day of May Ann.o Dom 1685 Thomas Theckston Signed sealed & dld In psents of Edw Sweatnam Elias King proved & recorded March court 1686 Elias King Clk |
