that She is in no Sort Guilty of the premisses above upon her Imposed as
by the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof She putteth herself
upon the Country

    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith
She is Guilty

    Thereupon Command was Given to the Sherf of Kent County that
he Imediately Cause to Come here twelve &c.a by whome &c.a who Neither &c.a
to Recognize &c.a because as well &c.a of which s.d precept the s.d Sherf
to Wit Fred.k Hanson Gentl now here At this Day to wit y.e fifteenth
Day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty five
makes Return that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his precept he
was Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the Day and year
last mentioned Come again as well the s.d Lord prop.ry by Michael
Howard his Clerk of Indictments afd as also the s.d Sarah Manning
who Stands at the Barr and the Jurors of that Jury being Impanelled
and Called likewise Came to wit Edward Worrell William Dean
Elias Ringgold Richard Davis John Wooddall Thomas Wilkins
Humphry Yonnger William Crow Francis Barney Robert Green
Samuel Norris & Robert Meeks who being Duely Elected tryed and Sworn
to Say the truth on the premises upon their oath Do say that Sarah Manning is
guilty of feloniously Stealing the afd Diaper Napkin linnen apron and
one yard of Country Cloath as in y.e Indictment above mentioned

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in y.e Town
of Chester in s.d County this fifteenth Day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and twenty five that the afd Sarah Manning Stand in y.e pillory
for the Space of ^a^ quarter of an hour and that afterwards She receive at the
publick whipping post fifteen Lashes well laid on her Bare back till y.e
blood appears as a punishment for her afd Crime of feloniously Stealing
the afd Diaper Napkin Linnen Apron and and one yard of Country Cloath
According to the force form and Effect of the verdict afd also it is Considered
that the s.d Sarah Manning pay the Sume of thirteen hundred & Seventy
one pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers
of this Court
