Whereupon ye. Court being Called Set as above Proceeded to Business in manner follg Vizt
Somerset fst To ye. Worshipfull ye. Justices of Somerset County in Court Judicially Sitting
The Petition of Arnold Elzey Senr. sheweth that part of ye. County road that Leads
from ye. Head of Goos Creek to Phebus Creek goes through your Petitioners Land greatly
to his Prejudice Your Petitioner Prays Your Worships that, that part of ye. road from
ye. upper head of Goose Creek untill it Intersects the County Road Near where A
Certain Sarah Staples Lives be no Longer A County Road for as much as the
Road that goes to mony Church which Intersects Another County Road by Mr. George
Irvings will Answer the Inhabitants Equally as well for ye. Church or Town as
ye. Road Your Petitioner now prays may be Stoped up and Your Petitioner Shall
pray &c. Arnold Elzey senior
Whereupon Came here into Court the afd. Petitioner in his Proper person and thereupon
the Petition afd. being Read & heard and fully understood it is Considered by ye. Court
Stop
here that the afd. Arnold Elzey Senior be Permitted to ^ Drop ^ ye. said road as by ye.
