Horatio Sharpe Esqr. Lieutenant General and Chief Governor of our Said Province of Maryland
the Eighth day of June in the thirteenth Year of our Dominion &c. Annoque Domini 1763

On the Back of the foregoing Commission was as follows Vizt.
   Maryland fst Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland
and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. To Benedict Calvert Robert Jenkins Henry Daniel
Dulany Stephen Bordly John Ridout and Charles Goldsborough Esquires Thomas Jones, John
Dennis, Thomas Holbrook, Planner Williams William Adams, David Polk Thomas Moor
and Isaiah Tilman of Somerset County Gentlemen Greeting we do hereby Authorise and
Impower you or Either of you to Administer the Severall Oaths Appointed by Act of Assembly
to be taken to the Government as also the Oath of Judge or Justice to Benjamin Tasker Charles
Hammond Samuel Chamberlain Edward Lloyd and Richard Lee Esqrs. William Hayward Sampson
Wheatly, Joseph Gillis Samuel Adams William Winder, Ephraim Wilson and Ephraim King
of the Same County Gentlemen or Any of them and you the Said Benjamin Tasker Charles
Hammond Samuel Chamberlain Edward Lloyd Richard Lee William Hayward Sampson
Wheatly Joseph Gillis Samuel Adams William Winder Ephraim Wilson and Ephraim King
or Any of you haveing taken the Said Oath are hereby Impowered to Administer the Same to the
Jsutices and Commissioners Respectively as they are Nominated in the within Commission and we
will that you and Every of you haveing taken the Said Oaths do Severally Subscribe the test and
Oath of Abjuration and for So doing this Shall be your Sufficient Warrant and Authority
hereof fail not and when you have So done you are to Certifie the Same under your hands
And Seals to us in our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed Wittness Our
trusty and well beloved Horatio Sharpe Esqr Lieutenant General and Chief Governor
of our Said Province of Maryland this Eighth day of June in the thirteenth year of our
Dominion &c. Annoque Dom. 1763

   Which being Read and heard
                                                Thereupon Thomas Jones Pursuant to the dedimus to him
directed Administred the Severall Oaths Appointed by Act of Assembly to be taken to the Government
as also the Oath of Judge or Justice to William Hayward, Sampson Wheatly, Joseph Gillis
William Winder and Ephraim King who Severally took the Same and Repeated the test and Subscribed
the Same with the Oath of Abjuration    Thereupon Sampson Wheatly Administred the Same Oaths
to Thomas Jones, John Dennis, Thomas Holbrook, Planner Williams, William Adams, David
Polk, Thomas Moor and Isaiah Tilman who Severally took the Same and Repeated the test
and Subscribed the Same with the Oath of Abjuration and took their Places on the bench as
follows Vizt

Whereupon the Court being Called Sat as above Proceeded to business in Manner following Vizt

        Proclamation being made the Sheriff of Somerset County Returned a pannell
