Persons not bona fide residents of,

prohibited from driving or permitting

his horses, hogs, sheep, or black cattle,

on lands of any citizen residing west of,

&c., without license i'roin the owner of

said lands, &c.,

Every entry of such horse, &c.,

deemed a trespass, and liable to dama-

ges, not exceeding 50 cts each head, for

each day so trespassing, &c.

Any such stock running at large with-
in the limits, &c., considered trespass-

ing, and may be destrained on and em-

pounded,

"

Persons making such disraint, re-

quired to deliver, within two days, to

the nearest justice of the peace, a state-

ment, on oath, oner his own name and

date, a description in writing of such

horses, &c., with their natural and artifi-

cial marks, &c.

"

Said justice shall file the same, &c.,

and give a certified copy thereof, to the

party making distraint,

Said party, after giving six days no-

tice, Sic., in places & form prescribed,

may sell so many of said horses, &c., as
may be sufficient to satisfy said penalty

. and charges.

Owner, by paying said penalty and
charges, before the day of sale, may re-

deem said stock,

To establish a market in Cumberland,

in, build a market house, and for the re-

gulation of the same,
