CHAPTER 211

Passed Mar 14,1835

An additional supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the
despatch of business in Baltimore County Court

Sections repelled

Sec 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the first, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth sections
of the act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and twenty-
erght, chapter one hundred and sixty one, entitled, An act
for the despatch of business in Baltimore County Court, he,
and the same are hereby repealed, except so much of the
said third section as relaites to the payment of the jurors in
said Court, and that the seventh, eighth tenth, eleventh, and
twelfth sections of the aforsaid act, at and also the act of

and twenty seven, be, and the same are hereby re enacted
and continued, except so much of the said act of eighteen
hundred and twenty eight, chapter one hundred and twenty
seven, as rs repugnant to the provisions of the fourth section
of this act.

sections of the act of eighteen hundred and twenty nine,
chapter two hundred, entitled, an act supplementary to an
act for the despatch of business in Baltimore County Court,
be, and the same are hereby repealed, and that the fourth,

cept only the words "or some one of the judges thereof,
to whom that duty shall be assigned," in the said fifth sec-
tion, shall be and the s me are hereby re enacted and con-

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That of any jury shall be
sworn in any cause, which is not ended and determined at
the close of the term, the Court may, notwithshtanding the
close of the term, proceed with the trial of the cause in the
same manner as if the term had not expired, and if the pro-
ceedings in said cause shall continue beyond the com-
mencement of the new term, buch proceedings shall be
considered as having been had during the term in which
the jury shall be sworn, and the Court shall have power to
continue the said new term from day to day, until such
cause shall be determined
