may have given receipts or bonds for them, if not, the officers
now having the possession shall bond for the same, or deliver
them over to the levy courts or commissioners, and that the
governor be further requested to transmit to the said briga-
dier generals lists of the arms distributed by the state, with
the names of the persons to whom delivered, and of those
who have or have not given bonds, and that the said brigadier
generals make their returns to the governor on or before the
first day of November next.
