100 ~  Edward Stocdell states he has sold 200 acres to Francis Jenckins, Capt. William Whittington (for Courthouse, see f.90 ); asks that he be paid in two installments, this Fall and Fall 1695; Court so orders.

100 ~  Court orders William Whittington to appoint a person to mend Nansionngo Bridge; to be paid from County levy..

101 ~  Case against Thomas Porter, laborer, for killing 10 wild hogs, valued at 1000 lbs/pork, on land of Francis Jenckins in Wicomico on 10 December 1693; pleads not guilty; Sheriff calls Jury: Thomas Dixon (foreman), John Roach, Jun., Nicholas Evins, Henry Hudson, Sen. Robert Catlin, Graves Jarrett, John Heath, Samuel Marchment, Richard Wharton, James Hill, Thomas Wilson, Capt. William Piper; Jury acquits Porter; Court confirms; orders Porter pay costs.

 

101 ~  Case against Henry Bishopp for killing two wild hogs running in the forest on the seaside, with the hogs of John Goddin, on 10 March 1693; pleads not guilty; Sheriff calls Jury: Thomas Dixon (foreman), John Roach, Jun., Nicholas Evins, Henry Hudson, Sen. 101 ~  Per request of orphans of John White, Court orders Lawrence Crawford be taken into custody and brought forthwith to Court to answer for contempt.

 

102 ~  Adam Spence presents account of James Maynard for various items of merchandise, totaling 260 lbs/tbco and 1671½ lbs/tbco; mentions John Barber, Aaron Bishopp, Mr. Scarbrough; Peter Dent, attorney for Hannah Maynard, admits debt; Court orders payment from Maynard’s estate.

 

102 ~  Ephraim Wilson brings servant boy, Edward Camplin before Court; confirmed as 4 years old last November 14; bound to Wilson until 21 for 1000 lbs/tbco given to boys father; Wilson to teach him to read and give him 2 year old heifer.

 

102 ~  Indenture agreement for John Chancelor to serve William Wouldhave for usual term; Wouldhave will teach him to read “in case he can have it done in his own house”; dated 12 February 1693/4; witnesses James Round, Mary Round.

 

102 ~  Note from Lawrence Crawford presented by Robert Pirrie saying that he could not attend Court due to “urgent occasion”; Court orders Sheriff to take Crawford into custody and keep him until he give security of £50 for his contempt and £450 for the orphans estate.

 

103 ~  Abraham Knott. Pltf. vs. Edward Macdonnell, Def; no declaration filed; Court rules a non-suit.
