632 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

cellaneous expenses, and for the above expenses of the Legisla-
ture, the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated; for
the printing of the General Assembly of 1916, eighteen thou-
sand five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary; for binding the laws, journals and documents of the said
session of the General Assembly, three thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary; for indexing the journals
and documents of the Senate and House of Delegates, six hun-
dred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for in-
dexing the laws, three hundred and fifty dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary; to the Secretary of the Senate and
the Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates, for copying and ar-
ranging for publication the laws of said session, three hundred
dollars each, six hundred dollars; to the Chief Clerk of the
House of Delegates, for salary during the recess of the Legis-
lature, three hundred dollars; to the Clerk of the Court of Ap-
peals, for recording the laws of the General Assembly of 1916,
six hundred and fifty dollars.

PUBLIC DEBT.

For the payment of the interest on the public debt of the
State, nine hundred and two thousand dollars, or so much there-
of as may be necessary.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the
State, on the warrant of the Comptroller, shall disburse the said
sum or sums of money herein appropriated for the objects and
purposes herein specified, to or upon the order of the person or
persons, or body politic or corporate, entitled to receive the
same; provided, however, that all of the appropriations afore-
said to State, charitable and educational institutions shall be
paid in equal quarterly instalments.

Approved April 13th, 1914, with the exception of the several
items disapproved, and with the exception of the portions of the
respective amounts of the several items disapproved as appears
in the disapproval of the said several items and in the disap-
provals of the portions of the respective amounts of the said
several items hereunto annexed, the provisions and items of the
above Act, to wit:

Chapter 389, entitled, "An Act making appropriations for
the support of the State Government for the fiscal year ending
on the 30th day of Septmber, 1916," are hereby approved, with
