take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 407.

Passed Mar.
10, 1864.

AN ACT to refund to Joseph C. White a sum of
money erroneously paid to Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is
hereby authorized and directed, upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay Joseph C. White,
Collector of Tax of the Third Election District of
Montgomery county, the sum of six dollars and
six cents, erroneously paid into the State Treasury,
in the years eighteen hundred and fifty-four and
five.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 408.

Passed Mar.
7, 1864.

AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and
fifteen, section one hundred and twenty, section
one hundred and twenty-one, section one hun-
dred and twenty-two, and section one hundred
and twenty-three, of Article eighty-one of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled, Revenues
and Taxes, and relating to tax on commissions
of Trustees and Receivers.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
