IMPLEMENTS
The Maryland State Agri-
cultural Society
HAVE AWARDED
FIRST PREMIUMS amounting to about $1000 for the
LARGEST DISPLAYS of the BEST MADE,
STRONGEST and MOST USEFUL AGRICUL-
TURAL IMPLEMENTS AND MACHINERY, ex-
hibited at their several Annual Fairs in 1848, '49, '50,
'51 and '52, being more than double the amount received
in Premiums at the same Fairs by any other Agricul-
tural house.
E. WHITMAN & CO'S
AGRICULTURAL AND SEED FIREHOUSE,
No. 55 LIGHT STREET,
Is now the largest in the United States. Their facilities
for manufacturing (at their new "Works at Canton,"
near Baltimore,) are much greater than any other estab-
lishment in the country. Southern Merchants are par-
ticularly invited to call and examine their stock, before
going further North, as they are now prepared and deter-
mined to compete for the Southern trade.
