Our Profession

We who are engaged in Funeral Directing
like to consider our calling a profession as
well as a business. We feel that the amount
of technical training required for this service,
as well as our ethical responsibility to our
patrons, entitles us to professional standing.

This feeling is reflected in our attitude to-
wards those we serve. Our relation with our
patrons calls for sympathetic understanding
of their needs and desires, and a reverent
regard for their comfort and welfare.

The funeral director should be selected with
the same care as is shown in choosing a
physician or lawyer. Training, experience
and moral integrity are of paramount im-
portance.

Mrs, George H. Holland
