There is no person in the city who
is more worthy of notice than Mr Hen-
ry J. Thomas. Mr. Thomas has been
instrumental in assisting a number of
young men to obtain an education who
are today in the professions. Mr.
Thomas has been very prominent in
hotel life. He has held positions as
head in the Mt. Vernon Hotel, of this
city; Ponce de Leon, Florida; the Jef-
ferson, of Richmond, Va., and the
Metropolitan, Washington, D. C. He
is an officer and member of Madison
Street Presbyterian Church. Mr.
Thomas is Vice-President of the Mary-
land Association for Colored Blind.
