SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
be null and void in case the territory within
mentioned should become annexed to the city
of Baltimore under the provisions of an act, en-
titled an act to extend the limits of the city of
Baltimore, passed at January session, eighteen
hundred and eighty-eight.

Chapter 452.
AN ACT to provide for the opening, construc-
tion, repair and improvement of the public
roads in Anne Arundel county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the county commis-
sioners of said county be and they are hereby
directed to keep a separate account of all ex-
penses incurred for opening, constructing, im-
proving or repairing the public roads in each
election district thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said county

commissioners shall provide for the payment of
said road expenses by levying upon the assess-
able property in each election district of said
county a tax sufficient to pay the said expenses
incurred as aforesaid for the opening, improve-
ment, construction and repair of the public
roads in the respective election districts of said
county.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said

district of said county, except to pay for the
